Science Week

Last week was National Science Week. At school all the classes were doing lots of science experiments and having fun with science. Here are some photos from our 'Erupting Volcano' and our 'Rubbery Egg" experiments. We enjoyed predicting what might happen ... and then watching the results!! Sol thought the vinegar would be like an acid and burn off the skin on the egg which would make the egg all rubbery. Great thinking!

Farewell Miss Ussher

We have had Miss Ussher in our room for 5 weeks. She is now returning to College to finish her training to become a teacher. We loved having her in our class and will miss her very much. She has promised to come back and visit.

Working Hard at Publishing Time

Living and Non Living

We have been learning about living and non living things. We know that living things breathe, grow, move and eat or drink. We know that non living things do not do all of these things. We went for a walk to find living and non living things. Can you work out what things are living or non living???

Our Tryathlon

A few weeks ago we held a tryathlon for the junior classes. The children were to TRY their best in a variety of events. They had a great time and for their efforts they received a certificate and medal.

Getting Along with Others

This term we have been getting to know each other. We have been learning how to get along with other children and how to be a good friend. We know how to cooperate and work together. We can share and have fun with our classmates. We also know how to be kind and caring. Our teachers think we are a great class.

Swimming at School

We have been swimming most days over the summer. We love swimming. Here are some pictures of us practising the skills we have been learning.
